![]() That makes for a really hard time trying to conserve battery. It goes from slowest speed to MAX fan speed on less than a 1/4 turn. 3) The dial to adjust fan speed is minimally functional. This is a waste of power and also very annoying if the fan is being used in a tent or a dark environment. They also cannot be dimmed or turned off. 2) The LED indicators that show battery charge status are *REALLY* bright. I would've purchased multiple external battery packs for when I don't plan to be in range of a charging area. I hope the manufacturer will consider a dock setup for future models. If you are trying to go off grid or use solar, etc., you will have to drag the unit itself to where you charge. I really like this fan, but at 60 days of use, there's no reason it should already be starting to make this kind of noise and/or be starting to fail.Ĭouple of gripes about this fan: 1) It does not have a swappable battery pack. The unit has not been exposed to the elements, been dropped, or accumulated dust or grime. I really despise making warranty claims, especially since this unit is so new and companies make you jump through so many hoops to validate a claim. The fan is sleek and works great, but after two months of use, the fan is making sounds that indicate a bad bearing. I purchased this 2019 model Geek Aire 16" Variable Speed Floor Fan back in early June, 2019.
